Challenge 3: Honey Bee

Hi all!

Well, my new apartment’s cable and internet package won’t be installed until the 23rd of this month, so I drove about an hour back to my parents’ house to bum some web (and see my cat) because I didn’t have my on-call shift today at work!  For this challenge, I knew I wanted to do some hand-lettering, since I hadn’t used it in a while.  With the topic, it was hard to avoid the obvious, and while thinking about combs, honey, and bugs, I remembered one of my favourite books, “The Secret Life of Bees.”  In the beginning of every chapter is an informative quote from a book about the insect.  This quote I found very fitting to my personal life, as well as an interesting fact.  It seemed very appropriate for the challenge!
