Exciting News! A new home, and a new addition to the family
We are so thrilled to tell you all about the new changes coming to Square Carousel!
First off, as I’m sure you can see, we have moved our internet home to Tumblr, and are happy as clams with the new layout. We hope you agree! Be sure to look around our new page.
Secondly, and more importantly, today marks the official introduction of a very talented new member, Casey Crisenbery. Casey attended SCAD with the rest of us, and most of Square Carousel had the privilege of knowing him through classes. His work is truly lovely, and always consistently top-notch. On top of that, nearly no one can compare in dedication and enthusiasm for the illustration field. Casey is going places and his drive is contagious! We can’t wait to see what he produces for our challenges. So, WELCOME, Casey, and we hope you feel right at home in our little family!
The reason we have introduced Casey to the group is due to our dear founder, Josh Heinsz, having to exit Square Carousel. We wish him well in his new adventures, and can’t begin to express how grateful we are to him. If it weren’t for Josh, there wouldn’t be a Square Carousel! So, thank you, and we hope we do you proud with our ventures in the future!
Jazz and Draw collaboration posted!
Philippe Debongnie of Jazz and Draw posted our final piece on his website this Monday. He was kind enough to spread the posts out, to draw viewers in over a span of time. They all look great on the site! And check out his Facebook page, where we have been featured, as well. Thanks so much, Philippe, and we hope to work with you again sometime in the future!

Exciting Changes to the Square Carousel Collective!
While it is always sad to say goodbye, with the closing of one chapter comes the beginning of another! We are sorry to be bidding farewell to three of our original artists: Katie Cantrell, Blythe Russo and Shannon Snow. It’s been a great several months having them on board as we launched the collective, and our doors will be open to them any time they may decide to return!
With these goodbyes though, we have three amazingly talented artists joining us in their steed! Each have something new and exciting to add to the collective and we can’t wait to see what they bring to the dynamic! So without further ado, I’d like to welcome Maily Degnan, Jackie Farkas and Molly Wilson to the collective! For any who are unfamiliar with their work, I encourage you to check it out as soon as possible. You’re all in for a treat!
While we were on break, we were of course still busy working! Over the next several days the artists will be posting self portraits to be used on our Artist’s Page where you can read a bit more about us all on an individual basis! Adela has selected our next challenge which will be due two weeks from today! All of our artists will be participating in They Draw and Cook! As always, we look forward to sharing our work with you!

Changes for Square Carousel Collective
I would just like to let you all know that we are taking a two week hiatus in order to make some site updates as well as welcome some new artists to the group. We will be back to our usual challenge order starting a week from Monday with Adela Kang, and we’ll have more news about our updates then! See you soon!
