Challenge 40: Holiday Comic: 12 Days
Evening folks! I decided for this last challenge to do my spin on the Twelve Days of Christmas. I had a blast doing this piece and am looking forward to sending a few prints to people- all on the nice list of course! Anyone, however can enjoy this post and I hope you all do!
Challenge 40: Wintery Comic: Gift
First off, this was such a fun challenge! I don’t get to mess with sequential work too often so I was happy to take a crack at it again :D Also wanted to try to depict a story with-out the use of words to work on my visual story telling.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Winter break and I’ll see y’all in the ‘14 <3
Challenge 40: Wintery Comic: Postcard
When I started this project I intended on making a tryptic. I ended up going all out on the middle panel and ignoring the others. I’m going to place some type in the hazy part and use this as a wintery postcard. I reaaaally enjoyed working on this.Chris
Challenge 40: Winter Comic: Gingerbread House
Last year my best friend sent me a gingerbread house for Christmas and it was so much fun decorating it!
Have a wonderful holiday season!Molly
Challenge 40: Wintery Comic/ Internship at Richard Solomon
So as you can see, this is nothing about winter. Instead, it take place in summer. When the theme was announced, I was thinking on what I should do but nothing really excites me that much. Then I was flipping through my sketchbooks and found some little drawings of the experience working at Richard Solomon’s office and it made me laugh and felt warm. So I decided to bring it to finish.
Challenge 40: Wintery Comic/Coming Home
Phew, this was indeed a challenge. It was really hard for me to think of an idea at first, but this idea is loosely based on a dream I used to have when I was a kid and it’s meant to encapsulate that awesome feeling of going home for Christmas.
Hope everyone has a great holiday this year! See ya in 2014!
Challenge 40: Wintery Comic//”Warmth”
I was really excited for this challenge. I’ve been meaning to work on a few one-page comics, so this was the perfect chance to give it a shot. This one was a lot different than my original idea, but I’m really happy with how this turned out and I’m glad I went with this direction.
Challenge 40: Wintery Comic: Nini Attacks
I haven’t made a comic since I was doodling embarrassing idealizations of teen girls for my 8th grade school newspaper, so this was a lot of fun! Due to time constraints, I worked digitally and in grayscale this time, and although this may not fit in my portfolio (also because of the subject matter!) I think I may want to explore the genre further.
Happy winter, everyone! We’ll see you again in 2014!!
