Challenge 53: Freebie
So, now that we’ve all had a turn in picking a challenge it’s time for a little freedom and a breather! For Challenge 53, Square Carousel members will be creating anything they desire, since it is in fact our ‘Freebie’ challenge! ;D
I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!
Challenge 52: Fallin in ______: Pumpkin?
I’m not a huge fan of the flood of pumpkin flavor. Though I do look forward to a few pumpkin beers during the fall, and maybe a pumpkin spice waffle at some point. For this challenge I wanted to make a mock info graphic illustrating the way that pumpkin flavor is going to be pumped into a lot of your favorite treats really soon.
challenge 52: fallin’ into… leaves & dead flowers?
growing up in south texas, i didn’t really get to experience “fall” as everyone else seems to know it. but now that i’m in michigan, i realize it’s all dead flowers and dead trees. but i do admit i like the fall queen (or, whatever) for making everything neon.
Hi! So Fall in NYC is, as far as I know, solely about Fashion Week, scarves and boots, and the sudden rush of all citizens and students back to the city after spending August elsewhere. I hope I managed to capture the joy of a packed-with-knits subway car. My only disappointment with this is I REALLY wanted to animate this with passing buildings and swirling leaves, but my brain exploded in an attempt to put it together quickly. I am going to take a day to nurse my noggin then see if I can figure it out because I think it would be adorbs. :*
Challenge 52: Fallin’ in… to Halloween
For this last challenge it was easy for me to think of what gets me excited for autumn. Around this time of year I’m already gearing up for one of my favorite holidays, Halloween! Beyond the celebration, I wanted to tie this illustration into my city and chose to depict a party happening right underneath the “L” tracks. Hope you ghouls enjoy!
Challenge 52: Fallin’ in _______: …to Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte (a.k.a. the PSL™)
I spent way too much time on Pinterest looking at Halloween and Fall things coupled with reading too many inspirational quotes over random images. That’s why this image exists. Did you know there’s already Halloween stuff at Target? Did you know I made Pumpkin Spice Latte mix last weekend? Can I be any more basic right now?
Challenge 52: Fallin’ in _______: Moving on
Fall is my absolute favorite season. I can’t wait until the weather starts recognizing the season is here! In Florida, it’s still suberbly hot! For this challenge I decided to pay tribute to all the little hummingbirds that will be migrating during this season. I will miss them, but I’ll see them soon!Molly
Challenge 52: Fallin’ in _______: My Season
This is going to sound totally self-absorbed, but I’ve always associated Fall with myself. Let me explain, before you think I’m a total weirdo!
My birthday is September 28th, and every year my parents love to tell the story of me and the weather. When my mom entered the hospital to have me, it was summer. When she left, it was fall. I hear this year after year (even some of my friends have had the privilege of hearing it, too) and I suppose over time, it just became my own personal folk lore.
I also am a huge fan of Halloween, since it’s the only acceptable time of year to still play dress-up as an adult. And a bonus is that I additionally get to break out my killer cardigan (and scarf) collections!
Back when I was a student, the start of classes was always really exciting, and a little nerve-wracking. I was always pretty ready for the time to come, and didn’t mourn summer all that much. Getting to buy all new supplies and fuss over my schedule was right up my anal-retentive-OCD-whatever-you-want-to-call-it alley. I miss those days when the weather changes!
Fall is like the letter A, the number 1, the first page of a book or a fresh piece of paper. It’s the beginning for me, and I can always feel it, every year. Sure, leaves may be dying, but Fall, for me, is a fresh start.
